The instructions for this cloth diaper are written for the diaper to be turned and topstitched (a method of sewing right sides together, turning, and then stitching over the finished sides). This leaves a professional finish. The KCK Sized Cloth Diapers also feature high quality "velcro" closures (Touchtape, Aplix, or Generic Aplix brand) and 1/4 inch elastic in the legs and back. The wings of the Kayla's Cloth Kits Sized cloth diapers are generous in length and include crossover tabs, so a single size spans quite a generous range of weight. The front of the diaper flares out slightly and tucks in nicely under the wings when you close the diaper. Laundry tabs (extra loop velcro) are sewn into the wings to keep the hook tape from catching on things in the laundry. All of the KCK cloth patterns are written for a novice and require nothing more than a zig zag and straight stitch. No experience with sewing, special sewing machines or sergers is needed. The sewing instructions are very detailed and explain the procedure for sewing a cloth diaper step by step. The instructions also have on online photo sew-along for visual learners. If I could sew my first diaper with only a few weeks of 8th grade home economics sewing experience, then you can too!

The Kayla's Cloth Kits Sized Cloth Diaper Pattern includes sizes Newborn, Small, Medium, Large, and X-Large. The patterns will fit babies from 6 pounds up to approximately 40 pounds.
